As a fan of Star Realms and its expansions Colony Wars and Gambit, I am very happy to see Frontiers making its debut in September. The game is designed by Robert Dougherty and Darwin Kastle. It had a very successful Kickstarter campaign with over a million dollars raised.
This game can be played by 1-4 players. This is great for solo gamers as you don't need an expansion, but can play it right off the back. It is composed of 80 card deck and new score cards. It has 4 starting decks.
It has the same rules and can be combined with Star Realms core set and all other expansions. In this set, you can get bonuses for concentrating on having cards from one faction.
There are also 8 Challenge cards which is for solo and campaign play. You can go against a powerful opponent. Some opponents are of one faction and all its faction cards are removed from the trade deck and only the Challenge can use the cards.
This is a better game than the core set as it has more to offer for people starting out in the Star Realms game.
